Welcome to The Escondido Grill, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Lubbock, Texas, within the serene Spirit Ranch. Our name, "Escondido," meaning "hidden" in Spanish, reflects our tranquil setting among century-old Elm, Oak, and Cypress trees—an unexpected oasis in the West Texas landscape.
Our Story
Founded in 2006, Spirit Ranch has long been a cherished venue for weddings and events. In 2017, Jason and Shawnna Waters introduced E&J Smokehouse, bringing their passion for authentic Texas barbecue to the community. In 2022, they rebranded as The Escondido Grill to better represent their expanded menu, which now includes not only smoked meats but also steaks, seafood, and Southwest-inspired dishes .
